Hi

We have a problem with our price list item data in Microsoft CRM. For some reason CRM requires each product to be manually added to a Price List, Default Unit and Unit Group (in CRM this has to be done twice due to the way CRM works in both the "Information" left hand section and "Price List Items" left hand side section). I created two DTS files in Scribe to automatically do this as we have well over 1500 products. All data is present and all products were successfully added to correct price list data. However an error occurs when a user tries to add a product to a quote. The price per unit field does not automatically populate even though all data is present in CRM. The user has to manually enter the price per unit. An error occurs when the quote is saved saying Missing Pricing Method Code.

I narrowed the problem down to the way a product is added to a price list. It appears as though when a product is manually added to a Price List, Default Unit and Unit Group the error does not occur. But when a DTS file in Scribe is used to automatically assign products to a price list, default unit and unit group and a user tries to add a product to a quote using the default setting the error occurs saying “Missing Pricing Method Code”.

Please can anyone provide any insight to this problem and how to solve it? At the moment the only way round this problem is for a user to manually add a price per unit which is likely to cause many problems - and very time consuming looking up the price of each product. This is strange as all information is available in the Product module - nothing is missing at all.

Thank you very much for any help.

Les
