error 800 on VPN

im using vnc to connect to a pc at work. however my VPN is giving me an error 800. im using a belkin 54g router. even in the DMZ w/firewalls disabled i get this error. any ideas?

If you are using a IPSec . Please make sure you are using matched parameters on Phase-1 and Phase-2 . I really suggest you take a moment to read the IPsec tutorials. It helps a lot.

where could i find that? the IPsec is enabled by default. im not sure where to find the parameters.
