Possible Resolution:
Analyze and Relink SO2 and Rebuild Sales Order Sort Files
Note: Use caution when working with repair utilities. Always make a backup first. If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified Sage Software business partner or Customer Support analyst.
Open Library Master / Repair / Analyze and Relink Line Files
Select Sales Order for the application and the company code with the error
From the list of files, select SO2xxx - Sales Order Entry Detail File (where xxx = company code)
Click 'Proceed' and 'Yes' to "Do you want to save the originals?"
Print the Error Log.
Note: Review the Error Log for any message of "Link Error in Header Record: <S/O Number>". Any such Sales Orders should be reviewed in Sales Order Entry to see if all the line items at still on the sales order.
Open Library Master / Repair / Rebuild Application Sort Files
Select Sales Order for the application and the company code with the error
Click 'Rebuild' and answer 'Yes' to "Would you like to recalculate open sales order quantities in the Inventory Masterfile also?"
Randica you will need to do something soon about the level of MAS you are on or it will cost you a lot of money in the long run. I am assuming that you have chosen to not pay your yearly maintenance which entitles you to upgrades. In a very short period of time all support for v3.71 will end and you will not be able to get answers to error messages. Your only resolution will be to get current on your support (Sage has programs now and then that give you a price break) or go with another accounting package (which will be a whole lotta money). Basically life with your accounting program will just get more expensive the longer you delay doing something.
