Error 47 in GL

I am receiving an Error 47 "Substring reference out of string" in GL Recurring Journal.
I have resorted, relinked, and I still get error.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Assuming you have have rebuilt key files, about the only other way to get around this error is to use Data File and Display Maintenance and enter the missing data. However, be very careful if you do this. You may want to discuss this with your MAS90 reseller. If you don't have one, you can subscribe to one of several maintenance support plans offered by Best(formerly Sage).

Possible cause: GL Paramter file is corrupted
Possible Resolution: GL0xxx.soa files may be corrupted. 1. Restore GL0xxx.soa file from a backup OR 2. Refer to LM3023-A for instructions on how to create a new parameter file.

to create a new file:
get everyone out of Mas90, get a backup and then setup a new company in mas90, enter your GL setup options, and exit the company. Rename the file GL0XXX.soa (XXX is the 3 digit company code of the company you just created) to GL0YYY.soa (YYY is the company code you are trying to fix)
