error 41

i ususally am a pc user, so i have no idea what error 41 is. i'm trying to boot up and get the "time syncronizer error type 41" error. the os is 9.1

A 41 error is usually a memory full error or file load error. When is it happening?

I get error 41 from Virex scheduler on startup. I turn extensions off and still get the error but it also tells me to turn extensions off. They are already off. Help!!!

Hi

I have a Mac DVD Special Edition OS 9.2. At start-up, I get the bomb / error 41. It won't start with extensions off. The day before this happened, the computer crashed and I powered it off to re-start ( nothing else worked. Not even the re-start button on the side)

How did these other postings get resolved?

I have an old Powerbook 100 and when trying to start it I get the error message `error type 41´. I've tried restarting with the extensions off, bit that doesn't help at all. I just get the same message all over again. Although I know it's a finder problem, I cannot get at the hard disk to reinstall it. Anyone out there got any ideas? I could just wipe the disk (there's nothing important on it, but I'm not too sure how to do it with out starting the computer first! HELP!

I'm having an error 41 problem with OS 9. System froze before I could respond to "Finder needs your attention". I reboot on the side and get "error 41 - Time synchronization"

Error 41 is to do with a corrupt Finder file. The best way to cure it is to boot from an emergency disk/OS install disk and re-install the system. You can do this without reformatting or losing any of your existing data. You can also specify a 'custom' installation and only install the actual system bits such as the finder and related files without having to reinstall all the other stuff that usually comes with it.
