Error 30 (position off screen) 1

Running FPW26 on Novell 4.1 with W95 clients. Application and data on the server. One user suddenly getting 'position off screen' error on a commonly used function (all other users are ok). No code changes have been implemented (we do not have the source and provider no longer trading !). I have tried reinstalling driver for the monitor (and also standard vga/svga drivers) but error still appears.
Would appreciate any suggestions.

In the past, I've found two reasons for this problem:
1) A changed (updated) or removed font. Because the code generated by FPW calculates the postions in "foxels" based on the font defined on the development system, changes to the font (or Windows substituting an alternate font it thinks is "similar" when the original font is missing), can cause problems.
2) Corrupted resource file. Try deleting FOXUSER.DBF & .FPT.

Another scenario I have encountered is the font setting. In your display settings try choosing "Small fonts" and see if that works.

Thanks very much for the advice. I had installed a 'Euro' font patch, removing all the ARIAL fonts (which had been updated by the patch) and re-installing the originals cured the problem.

Change your screen size from whatever it is, to 800x600.
