Dear All,
Recently, after dropping my computer, I had to install a new hard drive, and of course, re-install XP Home plus all my application programmes; one of which was Visual Basic 6.0.
Now, every time I start the programme, I get a message saying, “the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available”
When I cancel that message, I am advised of “Error 1706”, and that the programme is looking for, vs_setup.msi
After cancelling several times the messages cease, and VB6 loads.
The problem is I have searched the installation disk and cannot find any file named, vs_setup.msi
This problem has only arisen since I re-installed VB6.
Any ideas?
Regards,
john
