i went to open an application in my win 2k proffesional and i got an error containing C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. the system file is not suitible for running MS-DOS and Microsoft window applications. choose close to terminate the application.
ast here anyway to fix this problem i added windows 2k sp4 so it added my coomand.com so i dont get and command.com error anymore but i dont know what to do about this problem.

accataully i didnt have the files in my system32 folder in windows, so i jsut copyed them from my repair folder, now there just one problem one of my MS-dos applications works and the other one goes to this huge blank screen and then disapears what do you think this is about? (both a 16 bit MS-dos applications.

This Pc was givin to me from a hospital and it had win 2000 pro on it but came with no cd i have a dell win xp set up cd here do you think that will work because when Iran the command it said it wanted to copy alot of files to my system but i had no cd to do this with *tis a shame*

No, unfortunately using an XP CD to do an sfc /Scannow will not work.

I am concerned that you are missing a lot of basic files.

Please call the hospital or other source for the PC and ask nicely for a real Win2k CD. Your intallation is faulty. Tech Support from the computer manufacturer might be able to help.

Yes it is a shame it isnt everyday you get a free pc with windows 2k pro on it i guess ill jsut have to use my windows Xp home edition. tis painful. i quit enjoyed win 2k pro very plug and play extremely well with memory. and easy to configure. XP home on the other hand sigh.
