Error 1084 when staring services

Dear All,

I have windwos xp professional (service pake 1. When I try to start most of the services, the error 1084 appears "The service cannot be started in safe mode" alhough I am in normal mode. This is happening with most of the services that are available.

Please help me sort this out and by the way, I do not have any restore points avaiable.

1. Download and apply the newest verion of your video drivers. This is often a video subsystem error issue.

2. I am curious why you are manually attempting to start services. This is fine for some single services, but because of dependencies not good as a general solution.
