ERD error message

I'm trying to create an ERD on my Windows 2000 server and keep on getting this error message:

The operation failed.
The disk was not found or was inaccessible.

Has anyone out there experience this. If so, can you provide a light on what to do.

The drive is accessible thru the backup program, as well as thru any application.
I ran chkdsk, no errors.
What to do?

It's referring to the floppy disk drive or diskette error.
Try another diskette, if it fails replace floppy disk drive.
