That is true if you buy a pre-formatted disk. But you can only use it one time unless you do sessions.

DVDs are just $0.10/pc, why not just burn a new one? I think technically if you 'erase' a DVD that it is just appending to the TOC and makeing a statement to not display previously recorded sessions. Multi-session DVDs and CDs are problematic across platforms.
