Epson/Win 2k problems

OK, I'm at the point where I'm pulling my hair out.

I have an Epson C46, attached to an older PC that I use for word etc. The pc is running win2k.
The printer has been installed ok for 9 months and working good, however over the last few months I cannot print.
Whenever I print something the printer starts ok, then 5 secs later stops and carries on printing on another page and so on, until it's taken 10 pages to print a 1 page document.

I have tried the printer elsewhere and even had it serviced and it's fine - but not on the older pc! Any suggestions?

ALSO, I have an old Canon BJ200ex printer, I installed it on my older pc yesterday - worked fine. go to use it today and it can't/won't send anything to the printer...

Any advice would be a great help to a struggling person...

If this is a parallel printer you might want to try another parallel cable.
