Place EPS pictures (Tiff preview) in to a Quark Document.

If the EPS is less than 60MB, the file is included in the generated PostScript file. If the EPS is more than 60MB only a low resolution is embedded in to the PostScript.

I have tried opening and closing in Photoshop, different filenames etc. with no success.

Have tried clean-8 bit option in print box.

This happens with Quark versions 4, 5 and 6 but not 3.32

OS is WIN XP, pictures are located on a SAMBA volume.

If I copy the pictures to a local folder on my desktop, the pictures ARE included no matter how large.

Any ideas?

Sounds as if Quark is just sending the screen preview instead of the entire eps. Have you tried resaving the image as a tiff instead of an eps & seeing what happens?

If I save as a Tif, it works fine.

From what I can ascertain it has something to do with the physical location of the EPS links and the size of the EPS pictures.

Bear in mind that working locally there is no problem nor if the EPS is under 60MB.

Best regards
