EPO Machines in Multiple Workgroups

We are in the process of deploying a server with McAfee EPO to use with a large number of clients (hundereds) that are all in seperate workgroups. (not in domains).

I have not yet looked at the EPO software in depth. How does EPO deal with authentication to devices outside of a domain. Do you need to create a seperate set of login credentials for each computer account?
