ePO Agent not reporting on _some_ XP installs...

On a handful of my XP Pro workstations running VS7.1, the agent appears to install (both through the console or locally) but will not report back to the ePO server.

It gets the correct repository listing, but is unable to successfully update (all repositories are UNC).

I have tried uninstalling the agent and reinstalling with no joy. I also cannot find any .xml files or log files or the ini files for displaying the agent icon/activity window.

Sorry for the lack of good details, but that's really all I have. Very frustrating. Especially when it's the CIO's workstation.

Not that I talk to myself a lot but...

I figured it out. For some reason SYSTEM lost or never had Full Control of the 'Network Associates' subdirectory and its children in ../Documents and Settings/All Users/

As soon as I allowed inheritance and applied, everything started working.

Now I need to figure out why on my XP box it worked fine, but those that were in OU's did not. I can't find any Group Policies that would restrict this. If anyone knows of a setting I should check please let me know.

Or if there is a way to NOT use the All Users folder for ePO.
