ePO Administrator Account Setup 2

Hello All,

Short and sweet: Last week I changed the "domain administrator" password on our network, coincidentally I could no longer log into our ePO server's database. Changed the domain admin password back to the old one and *poof* I can log into the ePO server's database again. Now, I don't use the domain admin password to access the database, so I can only assume that when I setup ePO that it asked for a service account, and I provided it with the credentials for the domain administrator. Fine, but how do I change this?

Thank you,

Jay

If you go into administrative tools/services, there are two services that deal with epo, you need to go into the properties on those, and type in the new password, and confirm it, and than restart both services. When you go in you can sort the window by logon as just be sure you dont' have any other services that use the domain admin account to startup.

You will also have to change the settings in “Drive:\Program Files\Network Associates\ePO\3\CfgNaiMs.Exe.

For details, see my faq titled "Problem: ePO not working since admin password change” (faq38-5409)

No problem. Glad I could help. If you find any problems with the faq, could you let me know so I can correct as needed?
