If you access entire network via start menu, my network places, entire network, the window hangs.

If however you access the above via windows explorer, my network places, entire network, it works fine.

Any ideas?

This is a common error when windows tries to find printers on the network i believe
The fix was to remove
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RemoteComputer\NameSpace\{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}
(the one with the reference printers in it)
Printers are still found but a hand is avoided as it is not a demanded procendure or something
I dont really understand it but it fixed the same issue as yours on my pc!
Get to the key by going start> run > regedit navigate to it and delete

BEFORE DELETING OR AMENDING ANY REGISTRY ENTRY MAKE A BACKUP

Hello,

THanks for you assistance, but after trying that it still didn't resolve it? I deleted the key, and that didn't work, so i deleted the folder that the key was in, and the problem is still there. I've now restored the registry back to how it was.

I don't suppose there was anything else you tried?

Open up regedit

Navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/ Software/ Microsoft/ Windows/ CurrentVersion/ Explorer/ RemoteComputer/ NameSpace

Find a key named {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}

Right click on it and delete it

Reboot

Another one of them ones it is a similar key to the other
Perhaps the D6 key alone should be deleted?
