Has anyone ever encountered the problem whereby you format a report within Crystal perfectly well, it previews correctly, it even displays correctly through your local enterprise setup ... you then publish on a client site and many of the fields suddenly 'bunch up' or are cut short.

I presume this is something within the display elements/config of the system - but any ideas where to begin tweaking?

There are a number of hotfixes on the crystal decisions site but am reluctant to just 'slap these on' a production server, however i don't see the problem locally.

Much Appreciated.

Crystal Reports are "Printer Driver Driven", so to speak.
There used to be a white paper on the Crystal site called "Printer Driver Dependancies" (or something similar)
You could have a look at that.
Basically, keep your printer drivers simple. HP laserjet 5 or something like it.
Make sure that the machine to which the report is deployed has a printer defined. (this is often overlooked in CE installations)
Make your text fields 5% to 10% wider than you think they ought to be.
Always preview the report at 400% zoom just to see if there are any fields being truncated. Things that looked good at 100% will often truncate at 400% and will likely give you problems when you print.

Much appreciated. I figured it was something along those lines.

Thanks again
