Ok , In a text or memo field , suppose If I have to enter a address , If I

FIRST WRITE it in notepad or somewhere like

d-109,cool house
here i live,
mumbai
India

AND paste it iN ACCESS FIELD, the format is full recived i mean ,when I print it in lines , but if I try to type in acess it comes like

d-109, cool house , here i live , mumbai , India

Is there any way I can type in directly saving the format

---
the diffrence it makes is while prinitng the data in form of reports,

If I were enter the data by cut and paste , the format is preserved and the prinintng comes perfect , it atleast looks goood, coz I have to enter some ver big text in forms of

1. He asked for this item
2. Also with item no.
3. with this that bla bla

if I were to just enter it comes like
1.he asked for ths 2. slfkjasl 3. oladjfalsfjds

I cannot enter a particular length to seperate out lines , coz all of them has a diffrent length .

Any ideaz ?

Pakiyabhia,

It doesn't matter how the information is entered into the an Access record. When you set up the report you are going to use for your information, you can set up the font size, colors, whatever. You can place the information any way you want on in the report and make it print out any way you like.

That is my understanding of the report portion of Access.

It's your world, design it how ever you like......

b31luv, that is the problem , i just cannot get the prinout correct without doing cut and paste,

that is why i wanted to know while entering data , if there is like any special character or something , to skip the line , or any control that gives me the control during printing like if i use symbol say "^" after each sentence , they r printed on a diffrent line ?????
