whenever users log in to a windows box, they get the default folder views in explorer if they change these to say "details" as soon as they go out of the folder and back in it changes back, i have enabled the setting "rember each folders views" in options but this has no effect.

any idears?

Go into a folder and change it to 'Details' view, then go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options'. Select the 'View' tab then click the 'Like Current Folder' button.

That should set the default view type to 'Details' for all folders.
