Hello,
I have this quite annoying problem in Access 2000. When my access is opened for a while, in 90 % of the cases the following problem arises: apparently there is some code that keeps on running because when I have a query or a form opened and I want to close it I get a message like “The current code will be set by this action in break modus. Do you want to stop the execution of the code that is being executed?
- Choose yes to stop the execution of the program, so that the code-window can be closed
- Choose No to keep the code in the current modus.”
Whether I press Yes or No that doesn’t change anything, nothing happens and I can’t close the query. If I want to close this I have to go to the design-modus and then I can close it.
As I said this happens regularly. First I thought that it was some problem in a code I made, but even when I don’t call any code at all I get this problem. It even happens that I have to switch of my computer because that Access is completely blocked.
Once my database has entered this state, I can’t call any code anymore either. Then I get the message that still some code is running.
Is anyone having the same problem in Access 2000. Is there maybe some code running in the background of which I don’t know? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Greetings,
Dirk
