I have a user who is trying to manually program autodial buttons on his 6416 set. He chooses the program button that is setup in his softkeys, and gets prompted to choose the button to program. A button is selected and when he goes to enter the number to autodial, he gets a wave off tone. I can do this same procedure on my 8410D+ set and it works just fine. Is there a setting that I need to change to allow him to make these changes?

The program button should be "abr-prog"; and the button he wants to program should be defined as "autodial". That should be all you need.

Thanks for your help. The user did have the abr-prog button setup in his softkeys, and he was using that. The problem was with the button he was trying to program. It had no programming setup on it at all. Based on your post, I set the buttons to an arbitrary internal autodial, then had the user go in and change it to the number that he wanted. Problem solved. Thanks again.

Glad to help. In the future, you can leave the number field blank when you are setting up autodial buttons for your users.
