Is there a way to encrypt the source code in cold fusion? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
B

I know there is a utility that comes with CF that will allow you to encrypt your templates. I've never used it but I believe it is a one way process in that you can't decrypt them if you need. Be careful as if this is accurate, you can lock yourself out of your templates if you don't encrypt a copy. I know there are utitilies out there written by hackers that will break the encryption and decrypt them but they aren't easy to find. I believe the utility is called "cfcrypt.exe" and should be in the CFusion/bin directory.

Good Luck and be careful,
GJ

Yes, you are correct. The problem is that I am not an administrator on the CF Server box so I do not have access to the CFustion\bin directory to do this. I happened to have a 30 day evaluation version of CF 4.5 server that I installed and used the CFencode utility and it worked like a charm. As far as hackers go, I am developing this site as an Intranet site so that should not be an issue. Thanks for all of your help I really appreciate it.
