Encrypted passwords NT and XP

I have a UNIX server running SAMBA and the encrypt passwords set to YES. This works fine for the XP and WIN2000 clients, however NT clients can't log in.

I beleive it has to do with the encryption and that I need to change the registry.

Does anyone know of a way of allowing XP and NT4 clients to log on to a SAMBA share?
