I've got a server running NT4 that has a second inactive processor which I want to activate. The server is also running SQL server. Anyone know eaasiest way to do it and if the SQL instance will effect the way its done? Thanks

If NT was installed with a single processor present it probably has the single processor kernel and won't see the new one.

You can tell by reading the first blue screen on boot.

If thats your issue you want to look into the uptomp.exe utility in the resource kit.

I looked into it once but I decided to just rebuild.
