I have a DTI Trunk Loop that is enabled. However in LD 60 it says the following:
service restore: yes
yel alm process:yes
alarm status:red
ch 01-dsbl tie
ch 02-24 the same.
What do I need to do to get it out of alarm red? what load do I enable it in?

actually the loop is enabled the channels are disabled. so first ld 60
disl x
than
enll x.
Also check the other switch the tie is going to. you may have to disable and enable that loop. Sometimes you have to anable both at the same time for best results. At least on out stuff.

to disable and enable channels its
ld 60
dsch x y x=loop y =channel
than ench x y x=loop y=channel.

If you are seeing the channels status, the the loop is up in software, but down from a physical layer perspective. Try to diable the loop first, then enable it.

DISL x <-- Loop number
then...
ENLL x

You will get an error messages if you try to enable at this point, since the system thinks it is already enabled.

Hope this helps,

alarm status:red

that would usually indicate a bad loop between the card and the office. it doesn't help to enable a red t1, get the lights green and try again.. i usually open it at the demark and put a loop back to the switch to see if it's mine or the providers problem

Put a loopback plug in place of the CSU towards the PBX. Does the alarm status change? If so move the loopback plug to where the smartjack is. Does alarm clear?? if yes contact telco, if either of the previous steps does not clear it then the trouble is in the PBX, or possibly the CSU. Put a loopback plug where the connector is on the back of the opt, does the trouble go away?? Troubleshooting 101.
Red alarm is an indication the trouble is on your end (PBX, CSU, Telco). Yellow is usually theirs (Farend).

red is layer one. i don't have a complete ckt to the farend switch. yellow (all ones) is i can see the far end but that switch doesn't reply to my handshake.. your switch transmits all ones, the keep alive signal.. on the network side, you see the all ones and know if they are on your rec side, the trouble is toward your transmit side..
