Enabling and Using Disk Quotas

I want to use disk quotas to prevent a folder growing any larger than 500MB. I do not want this to impact the other folders on that volume. Can this be done and if so - please walk me through it.

Can't do this with Windows 2000 disk quotas, this uses file ownership to determine how much space a user can use on a disk.

Try some 3rd party software such as SpaceGuard (
