Enable Quick Launch

Does anyone know how to enable Quick Launch in XP other than manually going into properties of the taskbar? I have a need to enable the quick launch by default for every user logging into a workstation, but I can't seem to find a registry key or anything that I can modify to do this. I've tried using a tool that records changes to the registry, but it didn't pick anything up. Thanks in advance for any tips.

Had a quick look with regmon (don't know if that's what you used - from

http://www.sysinternals.com).

The Taskbar value in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Desktop certainly gets updated when you change Quick Launch visibility (did this on 2k - but expect XP similar) - but looks like other keys do too.

Why do you need to do this - can't you just tell users how to enable it - its not very difficult.

I think XP is different. I was using Rapidinstall that comes with Altiris to record changes to the registry, but I started up regmon and found the following when I applied the change. Doesn't look like any keys were changed except for TaskbarSize and Glomming - neither of which seem to do anything when manually modified. The change is a small piece needed in a larger project to rollout a "standard" desktop. Enabling Quicklaunch is one of the changes desired by the client. I'd rather script the enabling then have to do it on each new workstation.
