Emulation software

I was wondering ...

Is there a good freeware emulation software to emulate WIN95/98 under XP or Linux available for download somewhere ?

My problem is, that I have a lot of software that's not running under XP anymore. Even if I set the compability option under XP ...

Try Microsofts free Virtual PC. I have my old 98 system running quite happily under XP. I used trueimage to clone it to a virtual drive.
Alternatively you could simply install 98 and the software you need to run under 98.
