Embedded Voicemail Custom Queing Announcements

Does anyone know if you can upload custom hunt group Que announcements? I know I can do auto attendants but my customer is looking to do the actual queing announcements. This is an 8.1.42 Essential edition.

No you can't, but we tend to just make a lead that goes from 3.5mm jack to a headset connector and use it to connect a handset to a laptop, works perfectly

You can use the *91N and the *92N to record announcements. Where N is the hunt group number. That may do what you want.

I may have just done it...I recorded an announcement using *91N...then I looked in the LVMAIL folder and found it..Used the LVMGREETING to transfer a .wav to a C11 and named it the same name, Main....deleted the old file and it worked...now that is ona V1...I need to test on a V2 but it looks promising...Thank you for the handset idea as well!!

Good idea, I don't see why it wouldn't work on a V2, can't remember if I have actually tried that before....too old

Would you happen to have the pin out for the 3.5 to handset cable....just in case...

There isn't one as such, just bare back one leg (I use left) from the headphone lead and put the braid and the coloured wire in the centre 2 pins of the RJ11/headset plug
