Embed Linked Excel Chart from another Workbook

Hi,

I have different workbooks, some containing source data, and one for other users to view certain parts of the source data. I have charts from the source workbooks which I want to export over to the user interface workbook, but maintain the link. I tried to do a copy and paste, and keep the chart source to point to the respective source workbook, but the filesize of the resulting workbook becomes significantly bigger. Is there a better way to go about linking the charts, and keeping the filesize down at the same time?
