Hi guys hope you can help with this weird problem.

I have a client Exchange 2003 SP2 running Outlook 2003 Sp2.

There are no rules set-up in outlook and no policies in place on the server. However this user will have some emails in his inbox and then suposedly for no reasons they will go to his deleted items or just permenately delete. No particular time pattern I have backed to pst and deleted his user accoutn and mailbox. This has not fixed it.

I got him to log on another PC just with outlook and this does not fix it.

However I logged on over the weekend and left on for 3 days and this did not delete. He logs on and they delete after a while.

I am quite stumped as to what else to check.

Any ideas would be a real help!!

Many Thanks

Simon

to troubleshoot this: Is there a way to temporarily disable rights to delete stuff? Then there will be an error when someone or something tries to delete...

many thanks for the reply not sure there is a way to do this though. Please let me know if this is feasible to do!!1

Any other ideas?

Many Thanks

Simon

Is it possible that he has auto-archive enabled? Is the user set up as an exchange user, or are they using POP3?
