Emailing a file to myself 2

I have a file (text file) that is generated by a backup procedure every morning at about 6am and it is kept on the servers desktop.

I usually am at my desk at home by about 7am, I am wondering if it is possible to have the server put this file into an email and send it to myself at home, so I can read up about what went on with my backup procedure the night before and resolve any problems or get information to fix it before I hit the office, if its even nessicary.

What Backup software are you running, and what version?
Are you running Exchange Server?

Quick way I can think of is create a Word document with nothing in it but an autoexecute macro with 3 steps:
1) File Open your text file
2) File Send To Mail Recipient
3) File Exit from Word
Then use your scheduler to open the Word document.

I am using NT backup, and exchange server is running on another server, but the file that NT backup outputs can be put on the local C:\ of the mail server.
