Email with large attachment stuck in Outbox

I have a user who accidentally attached the wrong file and sent the email. The file is 6MB and it has caused the email to sit in the outbox and the user cannot send/receive email now because its uploading. Nothing happens when attempting to delete the file. Is there anything I can do from Outlook or the Exchange Server to kill this email before it goes out?

6 MB? By the time that you get this it probably will have completed. There's a couple things that you can try, chief among them killing Outlook from task manager on the client. The other thing that you might try is marking the message as read. Read messages in the Outbox do not get sent.
