EMail Virus

Hi All,
Can I ask if anyone here can tell me how someone can send an EMail to me with my own address on it?

I have recently had abusive EMails,which I foolishly replied to.
I received an EMail with my name on it and opened it without checking it,it turned out to be a Klez virus.
I am in no doubt it was a hacker,as it was addressed to me,from me!
How can this be?

This is what the klez virus does. It picks an address at random from an address book from an infected machine and inserts the address as the from field so you really never know where it came from.
