email one record within a form

Hi

I am wanting to allow a user to email the contents of one record from a table to someone. I have manged to get an email sent with just the one record, but it is in datasets style and I want it to appear exactly as it does in the form.

When I print one record (from a print form button on the form) I get everything laid out as I want it. I have tried several different approaches (RTF, TXT etc) but I have had no success. Do I have to create a report with just one record and send that?

Have you tried using snapshot format?

It is the only one I have found that will keep the report exactly as you set it. Note that you will need to base it on a report (open a report with the same design as the form, using the current record as the source) and then sen as type acSnapshot.

The recipient will need the snapshot viewer to open the .snp file they will get - it is on all MS Office disks in the Valupack, or can be found from microsoft.com/downloads.
