Hi everyone. Got an HP Scanner with a cute little email button on it, and essentially when you press it, the idea is that it will email the document for you with whatever email settings you have in place (Control panel > mail) however this machine is using Lotus Notes and you will see there is no built in support in Windows XP for notes to setup the profile. If I go into control panel under mail to setup a new profile, there is some cc: lotus notes, but not sure what that does and didn't have any success. Is there some other way to accomplish this? I have seen this with a printer before, however it came with some software that just asked what kind of email profile you wanted to use and Lotus Notes was one of the options. Anyways I know this is a shot in the dark, but any suggestions might help. Worst case they have to save the document, then open their email client and send it as an attachment manually. Let me know.

To scan to an e-mail application:

The E-mail button on the front of the scanner is set up at the factory to communicate with the scanning software.

1. Push the E-mail button on the scanner.
The Scanner Button Settings dialog appears.
2. Select an E-mail application in the Scan To drop-down list. Only supported e-mail applications installed on your PC appear in the list.

That sort of says it all.
