Is there a way in Exchange 2000 running a windows 2000 advanced server, to count the number of emails proccessed in a certain time period?

try measuring the following SMTP counters in Performance Monitor

Messages Delivered Total
Messages Reveived Total
Messages Sent Total
Total Messages Submitted

Does that counter show -per email count- or is it related to email size? I turn them on and I was surprised by the count.

Also, the duration shows 50 minutes. It that the average number of email count sent in a 50 minute period???
