email client needed

Hi I need an email client fo Solaris8(SPARC)with (at least) next features:
- IMAP capabilities
- new mail notification (to pop up a window, or to chenge some icon, something like that)

Or at least a script wich do that.

Text or GUI?

Pine would be my text mode client of choice.

Look into xbiff for new mail notification by the way. Or biff for text mode.

but I have no idea about how to use (x)biff with IMAP.
