Email and Update database on Submit?

I am trying to update a database and email a report when the user clicks on the submit button. How do you apply two different action when a person hits the submit button, Thanks

First of all, this does not involve two different actions. Both these "actions" can be done in the same page.

In the submit page, first fire the query which will update/insert the table in the database and then apply the cfmail tag or vice versa.
