Does anyone know why an email address enclosed in single inverted commas fails? Countless times users in this company have complained because they have 'replied' to a mail and it has failed. Subsequent investigation has shown that the reply address has inverted commas (as, for example, in 'reply@reply.com' as opposed to reply@reply.com). When the address is typed in manually without the inverted commas it works fine. We had a serious occurrence of this the other day when a message sent TO us was not received. A later repeat showed that the address of the original was in inverted commas.
I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.
Thanks
