My email address is first.last@domain.com however on my outbound emails when using exchange (versus our ISPs POP3 account) the email address is username@server.local, which isn't a valid email address...how do I fix this?

I see the error in my ways.
Just FYI the problem lies within the setting for the account, listed under Users for AD.
User>Right click>Properties>email addresses
