EMachine Ads on Taskbar

Emachine makes a well priced machine, but appears to make you pay the difference by placing an ad banner directly above the taskbar. Does anyone know if you can or how to remove/hid it?

 

Try going through msconfig to see if there is a way to shut it off. BE VERY CAREFULL!!!!!! Do not change anything unless you are sure you have the right item. Go to Start-Run, and then type msconfig at the prompt. When that opens, Click on the startup tab, which should be the last tab. Find in the list that is given, something that has to do with banners or emachine itself and uncheck it. If you don't feel comfortable doing it this way, see if you can uninstall it from control panel.
