I am the database administrator for my organization. I am only of the only people who uses EM to create, and modify our databases.
We have 2 third party systems that use Sql Server. I have also created a database on Sql Server for a propritary system we have.
At least once a week for the past few weeks I have been experiencing the [tt]Login Failed for User (NULL)[/tt] error and I don't know why. Sometimes the connection returns on its own. Sometimes I restart the server.
The Network Admin and I looked into this and found that I was added twice to a database. Once as the dbo and a second time as my username. We found that the dbo account had my login associated with it. The account that had my domain/user name had a null value for the NT account associated with it. We removed the account with a null logon. For a while this solved the problem.
Now the problem has returned. I am the only person that seems to be effected by it. Oh, this error occurs when I log into EM. But I can access the third party software without an issues. I'm not sure exactly how the authentication works for those systems. They we installed before I was here.
Thanks for your input.
