I have users that insist on disconnecting from their sessions. I want to stop that. I have enabled the local machine group policy on the Terminal server to remove that option from the start menu shutdown. But with clients that are running the XP version of remote desktop, a client can still disconnect by using the X on the floating toolbar at the top. How do I eliminate the x or better yet change it to logout instaed of disconnect?

Thanks

in terminal services configuration, check out the properties of the RDP-tcp connection under the session tab...

Thank You that will work.

I would though like to know if I could still get it to the point where disconnect is not an option at all. The reset under the config though is still a very good solution.

from the user's point of view, I don't think you can remove the option...but you can set it up so it will automatically end the session as soon as they disconnect...
