I have a query which I'm using for a mail merge program for agents. I can easily weed out the lines of business I don't need (Medical, Health, and Variable Life), but now I want to combine the agents who have either Life only, Variable Annuity only, or both. I thought I could use a Group By, but I've hit a dead end so for.

thanks as always!

To answer this we must know how these entries are stored for each agent. Hopefully, it is normalized properly and they are placed as records in their own table linked to each agent. If so, then use the query's 'Or' criteria lines to include all records that have one or the other of these two entries. Simply add both criteria to the field's crieria property one each on separate lines.

criteria is (life and not variableannuity) or (variableannuity and not life) or (life and variableannuity)

How are these lines of business indicated in your database?
