and would like to know if anybody has ever heard or delt with them.

Hi!

I just had a quick look on their homepage.
I think they are cheap because they use 3Dfx-graphic-cards in their systems. The manufactor of these cards does not longer exist and that's why they so cheap. You have to be aware that you might run into problems if you have trouble with the drivers of these cards... I think there are no updates anymore.
