Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to change the format of the autonumber. So instead for every new record display 1, 2 ,3 etc, it will automatically put a, let say "1" at the begining. So for every new record, you get 11, 12, 13 instead of 1, 2 ,3. Thank you...

You can format the display of the autonumber on a form or report or in a field in a query but you can't change the actual value in the table.

Ex:

Query
NewValue: "1" & [YourAutoField]

Form or Report
in the Format property of the textbox put:
="1" & [YourAutoField]

I just wrote a small bit on the use of autonumbers. It's on my website. It will help you understand why what you want to do should not be done with an autonumber field.

If you really want to do this, you'll have to write code to accomplish it. If you start into this process, post back, and you're sure get plenty of help on that.
