I have a 10 minute single mpeg file that i have filmed, and would now like to edit and cut out the bits i dont want using premiere. This is a total noob question but how do i do this?

Import your footage, use the slice tool to cut it up.

Premiere does come with tutorials.

Yes, it looks like a razor.

Don't be afraid to explore the program... it won't bite you.

Premiere doesn't do well with editing MPG files. I think you'll find the end product to be of much better quality (and properly synced video/audio) if you edit an AVI file instead.
