Editing currency in Mail Merge 1

I have converted an Access 97 application to Access 2002.
When I call up my mail merge document, the currency is not formatted with a dollar sign and decimal point in Access 2002. However, it did with Access97.

I had gone into the table that I'm am exporting and changed the decimal from auto to two decimal places. That didn't help. I also tried right clicking on the field in the Word document and tried editing. That didn't work either.

Are there any other suggestions?

Alt+F9, then edit the mergefield, where Amount is the name of your mergfield.
